West Bengal Elections: BJP Announces Candidate List, Suvendu Adhikari May Contest Two Seats Against Mamata Banerjee

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has now announced its candidate list, and the move has quickly become one of the most discussed developments in the state’s politics. One of the names drawing the most attention is senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. According to party sources, Adhikari is likely to contest the upcoming election from two constituencies. What has made the situation even more interesting is the possibility that he could face Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in one of those seats. If that happens, it could turn into one of the biggest political battles in the state.

Over the last few years, Suvendu Adhikari has emerged as one of BJP’s key leaders in West Bengal and has been at the center of the party’s efforts to expand its presence in the state. His political rivalry with Mamata Banerjee has often attracted national attention.

Meanwhile, the ruling All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) is also preparing for a tough electoral contest. Party leaders remain confident about their chances and believe the party still enjoys strong support across the state.

Estimated Seat Projection:
• TMC: 180–200 seats
• BJP: 70–90 seats
• Others: 5–10 seats

However, with the election campaign yet to fully unfold, political observers believe the numbers could still change in the coming months.
