Tamil Nadu Poll Buzz: BJP Reportedly Offers Deputy CM Post to Vijay for TVK Alliance, AIADMK Not Happy

With the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections approaching, political activity in the state is slowly heating up. Fresh speculation has emerged about a possible alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and actor Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

According to political sources, the BJP is exploring the possibility of bringing TVK into the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead of the elections. As part of these discussions, the party is said to have offered Vijay the Deputy Chief Minister post if the alliance comes through.

Vijay’s entry into active politics has already created significant buzz in Tamil Nadu, and many observers believe his popularity could influence the electoral landscape. For the BJP, aligning with a new political force like TVK could potentially help expand its reach in a state where it has traditionally struggled to gain strong footing.

However, the reported proposal has not gone down well with the NDA’s major regional partner, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). Sources suggest that leaders within AIADMK are not comfortable with the idea of TVK joining the alliance.

Party insiders believe that bringing another major player into the coalition could complicate seat-sharing negotiations and alter the existing balance within the alliance.

Although there has been no official confirmation from the parties involved, the developments have already sparked political discussion in the state as the election season slowly approaches.
